Computer Numerical Controlled machinery has revolutionised manufacturing processes, allowing automated production of objects. Not only does this save time, but also greatly reduces the risk of error with the process.

Through the use of Computer Aided Design and Computer Aided Manufacturing software, the process is highly automated. The user simply lists a set of commands within the software to create a file that can be interpreted by the CNC machine (e.g. a laser cutter or engraver) and allow production to begin.
