The BS42H4 is a high quality band saw for preparing wood, plastic & foam with a cutting height of 275mm and rip capacity of 420mm.

Its robust steel construction, houses two large 440mm diameter cast iron wheels, which are driven by a 4 Horse Power motor, producing a saw blade speed of 850 rpm. The saw blade guides are present both above and below the table to help ensure accuracy.
A solid cast iron table (420 x 575mm) provides a sound and sturdy base to pass wood over. A ‘cut out’ in the table prevents table movement over time, ensuring the cast iron stays flat. The table also has a tilt facility.
The tension of the blade can constantly be monitored due to the position of the indicator in a side window.
HME supply the BS42H4 with key switch, foot stop, micro switch on the blade cover door and 100mm wood dust collection spigot.

HME recommend that this unit is connected to suitable dust extraction (not shown).

HME2101 - 3 Phase 400 Volts PT30h4      |      HME2102 - 1 Phase 230 Volts PT30h4

This high precision planer / thicknessing machine has been built for the accurate smoothing and preparation of wood surfaces.

The PT30H4 solid cast iron planing tables will provide quality, precision and accuracy for many years. Being able to plane wood up to a width of 310mm on its 1400mm long bed, and providing thicknessing for wood up to 306mm on its 540mm bed. The thicknesser has a synchronized feeder drive of 6m per minute. The maximum cut is 4mm. The three knife cutter block holds reversible double edged knives extending their life. This cutter block has a unique self setting system allowing for the quick and easy changing of the knives. The PT30H4 thicknesser is driven by a 4 Horse Power motor.
Standard features include a foot stop, micro switched planer bed, dust collection hood, and key switch.

This precision circular saw allows exact parallel cuts and a precise cross, mitre and format cuts.

The CS10H4 gives features not found on similar types of machines, for example the precision circular saw unit, which tilts from 90° to 45°, and gives a maximum cut depth of 100mm. A cross-cut stop with a scale set at an angle with a magnifying lens for easy reading and exact adjustments. The rip fence has a fine adjustment system, guided on a large round bar. Included as standard is a double mitre fence system of 900mm. The accuracy of the cut is aided by a 1200mm Format sliding table which fits right up to a 315mm diameter blade which is housed in a solid cast iron table.
The CS10H4 Circular saw has a rip capacity of 800mm, with the blade being powered by a 4 Horse Power motor. Maintenance and changing of the blade is made easy by a sliding removable panel allowing full access to the blade and internal workings.
Standard safety features include a crown guard, foot stop, key switch, and a micro switched sliding access panel. Collection spigots to the crown guard and saw unit are fitted as standard to this superb, robust machine.

This Vertical Bandfacer has been proven to be one of the safest ways to finish off materials such as wood, plastic and metal.

HME’s BV15 has a 150mm aluminium oxide belt with a ‘total enclosure’guard and adjustable ‘work face’ guard. The belt is driven by a 0.75kW motorat approx 6.5 m/s. The machine can be mounted on its own dust extractor, which comes complete with manual shaker and indicator light to show when the system requires servicing.
A single set of Start / Stop buttons interlocks both units ensuring you always have dust extraction when operating the Bandfacer.
HME supply this unit with a Foot Stop as standard.

The PD20 is designed especially for use in education for polishing materials such as metal and plastic. Unlike its industrial counterpart this machine only runs at 1500 rpm.

The Polisher is fitted with two 200mm loose fold calico polishing mops, powered by a single 0.75 kW motor. The spindle on which the mops are fitted has enclosed guards, and adjustable end guards. Angled back guards ensure dust is guided into large collection hoods. The PD20 is mounted on its own dust extractor which comes complete with manual shakerand indicator light to show when system requires servicing. A single set of Start / Stop buttons interlocks both units ensuring you always have dust extraction when operating the polisher.
HME supply this unit with a Foot Stop as standard.

This high quality and easy to use machine is used for wood turning operations, such as making bowls, handles, chair legs and furniture.

Its robust cast iron construction will ensure that this machine is probably the only wood turning lathe the school will need to purchase for many years. The 0.75kW motor provides a range of turning speeds between 425-2250 rpm via a belt and pulley system, which has easy access, via top and side panels. It can be purchased with just a bowl turning attachment, capacity up to 650mm diameter, or centres ranging between 762mm-1360mm. Equipment included with the Student Lathe is a 150mm diameter dual thread face plate, 190mm and 350mm T rest and spindle wrench; ensuring it can be used without any extra purchases required. Standard safety features include micro switched top and side access panels, foot stop and a spindle nose cover.

We have found for the educational market that the Compact and LBF range are more than able to cope with the rigors of student use being quiet, efficient machines utilising quality “v” belts and precision balanced pulleys. Belt driven machines are known to be more efficient than their geared counterparts.
The L1 series effectively replaces the earlier L2 models, and offers a mild steel cutting capacity of 18mm, housed in a heavy duty steel construction. With a 0.45kW motor drive a belt and stepped pulley system that offers a range of speeds between 400 -3600 rpm.
This models is available as floor standing or bench mounted.
